Behind The Shot
As I walked through the side streets of Savanna, I came across this older African American gentleman who was sitting off to the side of the street, dressed in a sharp, neatly tailored yellow suit. His vibrant attire stood in stark contrast to the neutral tones of the surrounding street. He saw me as I approached and slowly dropped his head as if surrendering to the inevitable sound of the camera shutter. I continued for another block and decided to turn back and strike up a conversation with him. But he was gone.
